Just wondering- does anyone out there have a winterization plate with a hole in it? My has one, about a 2" diameter opening. And it's not a clear hole- looks like my dog made it. Most I have seen or heard of are solid. I ask since my place has always had pretty low oil temps. So far with the plate on I barely get into the green zone. My plate has evidence of having duct tape on it at some point in time.

I've got some Piper and Lycoming service PDFs files a friend. I need to run through those . My plane is a 65 180c. My IA says leave it as it is. Just wondering what others have.
