I have a 180G which has after-market K2U wing root fairings on it. It was repainted a few years ago but I think the paint shop may have chinced out on the reinstallation of the wing root seals that go along the edge of the wing and mate up with the fuselage. I believe these seals should go under the fairings but the paint shop did not do that. The ended them at the rear of the fairing and therefore are not underneath them. Can anyone else who has wing root fairings tell me if the wing root seals run underneath these fairings? I checked the original install instructions and there is no guidance on this in them. Therefore I would assume that they do. If so I'll reinstall the seals correctly.
