This summer I had an opportunity to take a young couple flying. The young man had planned on proposing to his girlfriend by using sheets cut into letters that could be viewed from the air. Now all he needed was a plane and pilot. I was introduced to him through his aunt. When I heard his idea, I jumped at the chance to be part of it.
As pilots we have opportunities to interact with the general public in ways others can only dream of. I think I was as excited as they were to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
