I was finally able to fly into Casselton (5N8) yesterday to pick up my Arrow II. I had dropped my plane off for a complete repaint job along with some other mods last week of May.
The shop is called 'Custom Aircraft Refinishing'. They did an outstanding work for a reasonable price. I was informed throughout the process with the progress pictures and honest explanation of what they were doing. These people are very professional and easy to work with. The job was completed on time and results speak for themselves! I would highly recommend this shop if you are in Midwest area!
Fine Print: I am in no way, shape or form affiliated with this shop and have only known them from local recommendations.
So without further ado, the pics
Dropping the plane off.....
Disassembly....
Very common corrosion under stab trim control arm. I was told Piper never primes or paints under these arms. It cleaned right up however.
Removing silicone from windows that was used previously by someone to seal them. Paint and silicone don't mix....
Covering up the windows, antennas etc..
Stripper applied.....
