Perhaps this may be of interest to those exploring the idea of wrapping an entire airplane in vinyl graphics.
FAA Memo -
I’ve had a few questions about wrapping an entire aircraft with vinyl. I have copy part of FAA Memo, ACE-111. It can be found on the Major Repair and Alteration Job Aid found on FAA.Gov.Dynamic Regulatory System; Page 64 is the full memo in detail.
Basically (short version) it states that an STC will be required. This memo does not apply to Decals and Logo in certain areas.
