I recently purchased a 1976 Aztec turbo F and put overhauled engines on it. My local MEI wants to go out and do engine shutdowns an feathering on it. I recently go my ME rating in a seminole so I am comfortable with the procedures but am concerned that such actions will damage the engines that have only 25 hrs on them so far and without accumulators significant damage could be done to the engines starting them in the air with the props feathered and shock cooling them as well.

Any experienced Aztec pilots/instructors have an opinion?

Thanks
