The attached picture is the left outboard cowl flap actuating rod between the CF and the torque tube. In flight it is rubbing on the exhaust pipe and the bypass pipe. On the ground there is clearance.

The last time the cowling was off the engine mounts were changed and shims were added to the two lower mounts to raise the nose of the engine.

Before changing the mounts we had occasionally noticed a "witness mark" (slight rub) on the rod.

I'm wondering if this rod is installed correctly (the parts book is no help)?
