Torn cabin wall fabric - Any ideas?

So there is a tear in the cabin wall fabric right along the edge of the door on my 98 Archer III. I want to do something to cover it and keep it from tearing further. Like, maybe some plastic strip that could attach, or some kind of sticky cloth trim that can be stuck over it with the ends hidden under the upper and lower panels.

Any ideas are welcome.
