Okay I'm sure it's been debated but we have use of a 1964 cherokee 235 with the added fuel in the tips. I reviewed the POH and it stated that you run the mains then the tips in flight on page 9. Specifically for all operations the tip tanks should be used last.

I thought others had stated that the tip were to be used first to stop wing bending moments or some reason...

Can anyone shed some light on this?
