I'm thinking about buying a -- 1967 PA 28-140 that's a project airplane. I need to load it on a trailer and transport it 600 miles. I'm an A & P Mech. but most of my experience is on military helicopters.

I'd like to know the estimated _____ hours required to remove the wings on this aircraft. I read about the AD that was rescinded. Wing damage was caused by removing the wings.

Where is the wing area that's being damaged by the removal process of the wings ______________ ?

2nd. Question:

This aircraft is sold without logs and that's a problem. I know of some folks that bought airplanes without logs and got lucky. They were able to get some records (337's) etc., from local FAA repair stations where the aircraft was based. However, if nothing is found... I assume that the aircraft is dead; . No way to verify hours on TBO items, etc. .

Please share your experience or suggestions on reconstruction of aircraft log books.

No, I have Not Bought the aircraft yet, just gathering information (perhaps).

Thank You,

Avery
