Extra Aircraft has selected the Aspen PFD & MFD for the new line of Extra 330LT's. The units have to survive working in a +- 10 G cockpit while being spun in all different directions. While they will eventually tumble the units will self-align in 28 sec. You would not want to try this with a gyro instrument, unless it can cage. As an aside, the new 330LT took the title of fastest production piston plane (non-turbo) from Mooney with a speed of 204 kts. Of course having 315 hp helps.
