RHINEBECK Roads near the estate where Chelsea Clinton is expected to wed on Saturday, as well as the airspace overhead, will be off limits for part of the day, officials said on Wednesday.
Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is expected to marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky Saturday evening at the 50-acre Astor Courts estate off River Road in Rhinebeck. Wednesday evening, the Federal Aviation Administration issued Temporary Flight Restrictions for the airspace above Rhinebeck from 3 p.m. Saturday to 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The reason, the FAA said on its website, was VIP movement, though the agency did not specifically cite the expected Clinton wedding.
The restrictions will extend 1.5 nautical miles from Rhinebeck from ground level to an altitude of 2,000 feet, the FAA said.
They still don't get it. If someone wants to fly there and wreak havoc they will regardless of this "restriction."
