So the plane is in annual and we had to do a service call to Evansville, IN yesterday. It took 4:20 to drive it. At 120Kts in the 6-260 it would have been 1:23. Now lets say I spend $6K on speed mods and can get another 10Kts, if 10Kts is even realistic. On that flight, 10Kts = 6 minutes.

Now consider this. We are considering a new TTX or Cirrus. Average cruise on those at lower altitudes is 165 give or take. Go up high on a turbo model and it gets better, but lets use 165Kts. On the above flight, time in the air goes from 1:23 to 1:00. It gets better on longer flights.

I know time is money, but $600,000 is a $hi# load of money and 23 minutes isn't a whole lot of time. My Six doesn't seem so bad if you look at it like that.
