Thoughts?

My A&P is suggesting Reiff as it is cheaper, easier to install and won't mess with my CHT probes on all six cylinders.

It seems like the normal Reiff install leaves the power port in the oil access door area but they have a plug that can me mounted to the cowling but would require a 337. Has anyone done this and gotten a 337? I think the Tanis is pre-approved for the cowing plug receptacle.
