So. I have been at this about a year now. Including four months of non flying because I broke my distal bicep tendon
I have done solo in the pattern and two cross country's with my CFI
I lost some landing skills while I was injured and we are now working on getting crosswind landings down better
I'm ik just tend to cut too much power on final and have to add back a lot
I have done lost procedures and VOR work without much problem
My instructor says I'm doing fine and I am lined up for a "stage two " check ride at my school
That involves going up with the Chief CFI and do a mock up check ride

Why is it I still don't have the attitude I'm getting this. Seems there is always something. Before landing check list. Cleaning up the airplane after calling ground control after landing. Ect

Will it finally click some day ?

Just wondering. I'm stubborn and not going anywhere. Just wished I felt more comfortable in these shoes
