There seems to be no consensus on engine management during takeoff and initial climb for the PA-28 Pathfinder. I usually take off with max MP and RPM all the way up to cruising altitude, and then reduce MP to 20 to 23 inches and maintain 2400 RPM, leaning accordingly. Any thoughts on reducing power after 500 or 1000 AGL?
There is no mention to it in the POH and I wonder what the safest procedure would be.

Many thanks.
