After a long search and lots of ups & downs I finally bought a 1979 Piper Dakota and flew it home to Milwaukee, WI from Dallas this past Friday. Great "intro" flight to the Dakota & all the upgraded avionics in it. Here's a short video of portions of the flight. We (CFI & I) filed IFR and it took us 6 hours with a stop in Jefferson, MO and arrived in Milwaukee just past sunset to my wife, 4 year old & grandma waiting at the airport. Awesome day!
