Really just wanted to poll people to see how they perform planned descents at the conclusion of trips in their PA32R aircraft. I've looked through a few checklists out there and procedurally they don't give very much. Just curious if you have a particular manifold pressure/rpm setting that you go to for your descents. Lately I've been using 16-17" and 2200 rpm for mine, all the while monitoring my simple EGT gauge, trying to shoot for around 500 fpm. I realize that ATC doesn't always make things easy, but I'd like to hear from others about their typical method.
