Just heard on the local Chicago news.
An administration proposal has surfaced which calls for taxing people based on how many miles they drive their cars. The idea is to put an electronic tracker in every vehicle and have people pay each time they get gas.
Critics have argued that a mileage tax would penalize fuel-efficient vehicles relative to a gas tax because a Prius traveling the same distance might pay the same as a Hummer.
So what's the point, a tax for the amount of time the vehicle uses the roads or penalize the size of the vehicle one owns?
Maybe they should do this at the Avgas pumps too!
Thank you again Kool Aid drinkers.
