Maximum TIT indication questionable

(PA32R301T) It seems like this year we aren't able to get to 65% power LOP without max'ing TIT, .. two questions for the group:

1) The temperature probe appears to be almost impossible to remove, .. has anyone replaced one?

2) Fuel flow & CHTs seem to be running lower than last year (both DDMP & EDM830), has anyone increased max TIT to, say, 1650 to compensate for the low TIT reading?
