Lost in America (a story about ELT’s)

I found this story in Air & Space magazine about ELT’s and a device called a “Breadcrumb Tracker”. I think this story is worth reading so I looked up the story on their web site so I could post a link.

What really bothered me about this story is the FAA’s attitude regarding this technology. You would think after 50 years I would have adjusted to the way the FAA approaches safety.
