I know there's not a lot of interest in the earliest (60s) Aztecs, but can anyone tell me if the O-540s could run LOP? I think there is an Administrator on this forum that flies a Dakota (w/ the O-540 I think) who posted recently that he used LOP with great success.I'm interested in 1) can it work?; and, 2) with what technique, what GPH reduction and speed loss? I have read somewhere (i.e.. Pelican's Perch or Savvy Aviator, etc) that for carbed engines, a "smidgen" of carb heat and the slightest pull back off WOT sends a warm turbulent vortex through the carb that enhances fuel atomization and mixture distribution, which in turn facilitates aggressive leaning. What say ye?

Thanks,
Joel
