nervous passenger holds left rudder.

I found this accident related story and immediately thought of my experience with this exact same scenario. luckily mine did not end in an accident report.

Leaving W95 Ocracoke, NC with a very inexperienced passenger. im on a takeoff roll heading home. the plane rotates and climbing. As soon as I break ground, the passenger says "I need my camera!!" immediately pushes his left foot completely forward as he is reaching to the backseat. The rudder goes to the firewall. very nice yaw to the left at 100 AGL. Left hand on the yoke, Right hand beating on his leg to get off the rudder. he turns back around and releases the rudder. back on track.

Get to the pattern at KTTA Sanford, NC. im on downwind. Next question he asks me if I can reach to the back and get his camera!!!! WTF. HAHA

Moral to the story is please inform your passenger(s) to keep a sterile cockpit in the takeoff and pattern time.
