Thought y'all might enjoy. 1973 Cherokee Challenger from KWHP Whiteman Airport in Los Angeles to KAVX Avalon Catalina Island.
It's about a 40 minute flight. Departing Whiteman, right downwind departure to the north, then southbound transition through KVNY Van Nuys airspace at 1800', over the Sepulveda pass climbing to 2900', through the L.A. Special Flight Rules area at 3500', directly over LAX, then over the Palos Verde Peninsula, continuing climbing to 7500' and immediately descending then on to enter a right base for KAVX. Fun landing on the upsloping runway on a cliff. 2 little ones as passengers...one of them too short to see in the copilot seat!
