I am a new owner of a 1966 pa 32 260. On the most recent cross country all 4 tanks were topped up by fuel truck - in fact a bit too high. The right main and tip vented on the ground a bit. Nothing on the left side.

In flight, however, after 1/2 hour on the right tip, we got only 20 minutes on left tip before engine coughed and we had to switch to right main. On the ground it was bone dry.

Known issue or either in flight venting or dumping into other tanks?
Appreciate your insights.
