I need to shut off the fuel. I tried the fuel shut off valve in the cockpit, it is marked R, L and Off. It will switch between the tanks but when I try to turn it to the OFF posit, it will not go. I tried to pull the valve control, push it and case there is some kind of detente in there, but it won't go to the off position. I looked in the poh, but it just says "turn to the off position".
is there something I'm missing as far as a detente or special requirement to move the valve handle?
