In the May 1960 issue of Flying magazine there is a pirep on the Aztec. On page 72 the author states, "Lowering of the gear or flaps does not produce any noticeable pitch changes."
1) Was the early "short nose" bird immune to the pitch-up with flaps? Or,
2) Was the author mistaken?
Also, are there partial flap extension speeds permitted above 125 MPH?
