Anyone with experience with having to exchange the PFD under extended Warranty?
On 23 August our Avidyne Primary Flight Display went dark.
Avionics shop technicians said the display is operating but the backlighting is inoperative.
Checked day/night switch and brightness control and neither will brighten the display.
In 2011 the Avidyne PFD was replaced with warranty exchange P/N 700-00006-002.
System operational check normal. All work performed IAW Avidyne Envision EXP5000 Primary Flight Display Installation Manual 600-00141-010 Rev 5 October 16, 2009.
