I see that the EAA has agreed to pay a "one time user fee" of $450k to the FAA for services at Airventure.

I was under the impression that the controllers were volunteers that took vacation time to work OSH.

As for the FAA forums, and exhibits, the EAA should have told the FAA to stick them.

I am sure there are some behind the scenes things that the FAA provides, but if there is $100M to send the 1st family on an African vacation, they surely could scrape together a half million foe Airventure.
