I was flying home from the SF bay area the other night and found a sweet spot for my cherokee 235 (which incidentally is for sale).

I was cruising 150 mph true on 10 gph and 9400 feet pressure altitidue. Here are the rest of the settings and conditions.

OAT: 10C
Press. Alt: 9400
true Airspeed: 150 mph
ff: 10.1 gph (see image)
RPM: 2200
Manifold PRessure: 21" Hg
Throttle Position: closed ever so slightly. (very nearly full throttle - to produce turbulence in the intake manifold).

I was able to get the EGT variation down to about 45F. In the image I took I was at about 50F. I think the trick is to run at a lower RPM and position the throttle to very nearly fully open but not quite.

Anyone getting numbers like this?
