Delta flight dumps fuel over school near LAX

Sounds like they had a compressor stall on departure. ATC asked them if they need to dump fuel and they said they did not. They apparently did dump fuel, and it was over a school. I don't expect anyone will have long lasting effects, but this is not good. Paramedics were called, and some people went to the hospital. Definitely not good optics for aviation. Pretty bad decision making on the captain's part if you ask me.
