I recently bought a Dakota and am now having my local A&P do an annual. He said the engine mounts are upside down (or backwards) and said that the two rubber donuts are made of different rubber and should be reversed.

Someone on another forum said:

All four engine mounts for the Dakota are the same (Lord J-9613-12). I believe the mounts themselves are symmetrical. So, I don't understand what your mechanic means by "installed upside down".

Can anyone here confirm these details about the engine mounts on the PA28-236?
