I had the same question as in this AOPA article below. Like POH gives you few options for diff RPM at same altitude and % power setting. But what is the deciding factor what would you use and why select that option out of few available. This article still doesn't give a direct answer so I am looking for real user experience.

I have a Dakota so pa28-236 user input would be directly helpful to me but overall in all other CS prop models what is your deciding factor?
