Two of my cowl latches have a minor issue. The 'wing fastener' on the lower arm isn't held 'captive' in position. It holds the latch shut fine, it just comes out and loose any time I open it.
Can this be fixed without buying a new latch? It seems it's just a certain type of washer that holds it in position while unlatched.
I've been just keeping track of it. I could let the A&P do his thing at the next annual.
I could explore options at Airventure in a few weeks too. Just looking for ideas, thanks.
