Hello all! Just want to run some symptoms by you and welcome any advice for our issue. We have a 1965 PA28-140 with Powerflow exhaust system. Anytime RPMs are over 1500 and we turn off one Mag, engine pops like a backfiring sound. The popping goes away if you adjust mixture. We just installed rebuilt Bendix Mags and new P-lead wires and also just completed annual inspection. The plane has not been flown as much and did sit idle for a period of three months (very unfortunate) but should never happen again hopefully! The engine was running great without any issues and showed this symptom after being parked for that time period.
Thanks for any help or advice!
