Happy Canada Day to our friends in the "frozen North".
Many years ago I was travelling with my parents to Detroit and they took the ferry that stopped at Peelee Island. It happened to be July 1, and we participated on the festivities there. One memory was my mother and I winning the egg toss...153 feet!. I had learned the technique in college: throw underhand, catch underhand, slow the falling egg carefully when catching it with both hands, and take off any rings. And stand aside from the trajectory when catching!
