I am planning to replace the oil pressure screen on my O320-E2A with an adapter and oil filter. Since the owner can change the oil and filter (if the plane has one) and can remove and clean the oil pressure screen (if the plane doesn’t have a filter), it seems to me that the owner can install the oil filter adapter as well. Am I right or does it require an A&P mechanic?
