I've noticed that with my soft field takeoffs according to the POH, I use up quite a bit more runway than I'd like. I attribute that to the extremely draggy profile of a PA28 with yoke full back and 25 degrees flaps out.

Curious to everyone's opinion for the optimum departure procedure for the following scenario:

Grass surface, 4" long grass on top of solid dirt. 1500' runway length, and let's say 60' width. 50' obstacle at 2,000'.
Add in some hot and heavy if you like.

I'm not looking for performance calculations or procedures from the POH/AFM... more after the 'how would you do it'?
