From the report it appears that the Baron carrying six crashed as it was approaching Kerrville. It is not clear whether Kerrville was the intended destination or was chosen for an emergency landing.

From the accompanying picture of the wreckage it appears that the Baron contacted the ground in a level attitude with sufficient force to largely collapse the cabin. I don't see any obvious signs of furrowing behind the plane, suggesting that it came down at very low forward speed. Of particular interest, it appears that the right prop is feathered, and the blade that can be seen does not appear damaged, suggesting that the right engine was not turning on impact.
