I had an overzealous passenger close the baggage door on my '66 TwinCo without unlatching the door brace (rod). The rod broke in the middle. I'm going to try and weld it back together, but I can't tell if the rod is supposed to have an s-shaped bend (as it does now). Anyone know if it's supposed to be straight?

Thanks!!
