While replacing all of the decals/placards on my Instrument Panel, I started to replace the decal on the Throttle Quadrant. I removed the screws and this fiberglass base fell apart in my hand. Evidently you can not get this piece anymore. I ordered the replacement from Plane Plastics and it was just a flimsy piece with the words printed on it. Also included was a plastic cover that goes over the quadrant that my plane didn't have (mine has a black painted metal cover) and this plastic cover doesn't quite fit. Does anyone know of a source for this fiberglass base? I have tried to glue it back together with adhesives, but to no avail. Did later years have the plastic cover? The new piece has some type of instructions for a "Mixture Lock" printed on it, my Mixture Lever has no Lock. My plane was built in March 1974. I have attached pics. Thanks.
