I have the typical "drag farm" antenna installation that was apparently popular in the '70s on my Comanche 180. 4 whips on the upper fuselage around the big old beacon, (big ELT whip, unused Loran whip, two Com whips), "flying v" above the cabin, ADF antenna on belly, DME and Transponder on seperate small belly mounted blades.

Interested in the pros/cons of using diplexers on nav antennas. Also the drag advantage, and cons, of blade antennas over the very thin whips now available. Also interested in drag advantages of placing remaining antennas "inline" to minimize frontal area and drag. Thoughts?
