Last night I was going to MTO on an IFR flight plan. Champaign Approach asked me if I'd been able to receive MTO awos. I told him I wasn't receiving it. He said it seems to be off the air. I tod him I was able to get MTO weather on my iPad. He said "On your what?". After I explained the iPad and it's 3G connection he laughed out loud. A few minutes later he read me MTO weather, which he had gotten by phone. Obviously iPad weather doesn't qualify as a weather briefing.

I figure I provided entertainment for all of Champaign Approach and maybe 50 pilots on the frequency.
