I've searched the forum but haven't found people talking about this issue, possibly because most people solved it years ago. but I'm looking to buy a Piper twin and some still have a recurring AD on the props. for $12,000 you could, at one time, buy the Top Prop solution, new, but I'm wondering how other people have gone about it. How much does the inspection cost if it passes?
where have you had good luck getting it done?
Can 160hp motors from a later year be stc'd with full feathering props?
buying used motor and prop combinations from someone who upgraded would seem the cheapest, but I haven't found an stc to do that.
basically..is a pa-23-150 with tired engines and props that need to be inspected now nearly worthless?
