I've searched the forum but haven't found people talking about this issue, possibly because most people solved it years ago. but I'm looking to buy a Piper twin and some still have a recurring AD on the props. for $12,000 you could, at one time, buy the Top Prop solution, new, but I'm wondering how other people have gone about it. [$21,500 today, for Top Prop]
How much does the inspection cost if it passes?
where have you had good luck getting it done?
Can 160hp motors from a later year be stc'd with full feathering props?
buying used motor and prop combinations from someone who upgraded would seem the cheapest, but I haven't found an stc to do that.
basically..is a pa-23-150 with tired engines and props that need to be inspected now nearly worthless?
