Is the only thing holding it the panel the thumb tension wheel?
Appeared to be...when I pulled the whole thing loose, lol. After putting it back and tightening the thumb wheel back up, I couldn't yank it out again so am assuming that's all that's holding it in there.
Difficulty in finding the groove to pull it out seemed to be a common complaint, since the previous owner of mine took the thumb wheel off and opened the hole up a bit with a grinder wheel it looks like...
