Dear Forum members,
my name is Henry and i am new here in the forum. My home base EDHF, 30NM north of Hamburg/Germany. Since 6 months our family airplane is a 1971 Piper PA28R-200 with 1,700hrs total time.
During maintenance the shop has found 2.4 inch (6cm) long crack between rivets near the fuselage.
Does anyone ever had some experience with that? and what can cause this? hard landing?
Our shop mentioned to fix that they have to disassemble the complete right wing an change the skin in that area, is this needed?
Thanks for your opinions!
Kind regards
Henry
