For people who fly the bay tour, this is fairly new. I think it appeared when they revised the Bravo airspace over SFO. I have used this frequency once when flying the bay tour. I haven't seen any guidance for using the frequency. Is this preferred over using flight following in the area? Self announce position and altitude? I am curious if others have used the frequency, and what the best practices are for using it.
