HI everyone,
I am planning a cross country flight from Maine to Gettysburg ( w05).I figured scine there is no fuel in gettysburg or hangers, or an FBO of any kind, I would stop in YORK, (KTHV) and fuel, store the airplane and then rent a car out of York and drive to gettysburg to study the battlefield.
I was checking out the York airport in foreflight and found that it even has great instrument approaches.... then i noticed the runway and got a little concerned. It looks like it slopes downward off a hill?
Has anyone been there and landed? I am a fairly new pilot but looking at the pics in foreflight.... it just seems like it is a challenging place to land with the runway going up a hill at the end of 35. IS THAT AN OPTICAL ILLUSION OR does it look worse than it is?
Thank you for the help.
John
