I am searching for a 4-place to use for training and then to take my family of 4 on trips. I have 2 growing teenagers and figure the 4 of us plus 50 gallons of fuel is right at 1000lbs. I know the Dakota and the Pathfinder (both 235hp) will fit the bill; however, I also see useful load reports on Archers and Arrows are all over the place. Besides the Cherokee 235/236, is there a combination of year/model Archer/Arrow that has a higher useful load than 1000lbs? I know the Comanche has plenty of useful load, but I really want the extra room in the backseat that came in '72 and '73. What else shold I be looking at?
