I just wanted to give a shout out to K&K Precision Welding in East Troy, WI.

I had the shimmy damper mounting tab snap off of my nose gear trunnion. Searching for a used part turned up nothing, and a new part was $3500. Stumbled across K&K's website and gave him a call.

Kim is a FAA certified repair shop for welding different parts. He does a lot of spinners and backplates, but also has authorization to weld trunnions. Quoted me a very fair price to fix it and provide documentation.

It just so happened that I was flying through WI, so we diverted a bit so I could drop off my part. Kim's shop is the proverbial clean one where you could eat off the floors. Super nice guy.

Got my part back today, and I can't tell where it broke. Highly recommend.

Pete
